Explorer Guide: Art and Communication

This guide is for CGCC students considering a major and possible career paths.

FOCUS ON: Art and Communication

  • FINE ARTS: The AA Fine Arts degree is designed primarily for students planning to transfer and earn a bachelor of Fine Arts, commercial arts, or design degree. However, it may be appropriate for students planning to seek immediate employment in an art-related field upon graduation.
  • COMMUNICATIONS: Communications is a broad discipline that can lead to job opportunities in many different fields. Skills and experiences gained through co-curricular activities, internships, part-time jobs, and volunteering are critical in shaping a career path.
