How to Develop a Good Research Topic

Identifying a Topic

How do you find a research topic that is original, interesting to you and manageable within your time constraints and the size of the assignment?

Pick something you're interested in. You'll enjoy the work and will do a better job on the project. What if a topic area is assigned to you? Find an aspect of the topic that interests you.

Need a Topic? Try a Database

The following databases can assist you in locating a research topic. NOTE: If you are off campus, you will have to log in using your username and password, both of which are your last name and last four digits of your student ID (Example: smith1234 or ann-margaret5678).
